Report: Bears signing QB Tyson Bagent as undrafted free agent |
The Chicago Bears are signing Shepherd quarterback Tyson Bagent to a priority undrafted free-agent deal, according to multiple reports on Saturday night.
At Division II Shepherd (Shepherdstown, West Virginia), he threw completed 400 passes on 572 attempts with 4,580 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. He won the Heisman Trophy for this level. For his career, the 6-foot-3 and 210-pound gunslinger had 17,034 yards and threw for 159 touchdowns and 48 interceptions. At the Senior Bowl, he was impressive completing 17-of-22 passes for 138 yards. Most NFL draft analysts thought that he would be drafted this weekend so this is a steal to get this caliber player in the undrafted free agency route.
