The Chicago Bears on Monday re-signed veteran long snapper Scott Daly to a one-year contract.

Daly returns to the Bears after serving as the primary long snapper on all punts, field goals and extra points in 2024, appearing in all 17 games for Chicago and accumulating a career-high five special teams tackles. Over his NFL career, Daly has appeared in 59 games with the Bears (2024) and Detroit Lions (2021-23). Signed by the Bears following the culmination of training camp in 2024, Daly started his NFL tenure with the Bears on a tryout basis at rookie minicamp in 2017, before signing with the Dallas Cowboys prior to the 2018 season. Before landing with Detroit in 2021, Daly contributed to the San Antonio Commanders (2019) of the AAF and the New York Guardians (2020) of the XFL. A native of Downers Grove, Ill., the Notre Dame (2012-15) product handled all long snapping responsibilities in 51 career games for the Fighting Irish.
