The Chicago Bears on Wednesday announced the signing of two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Grady Jarrett to a three-year contract and tight end Durham Smythe to a one-year contract.

Jarrett, a two-time Pro Bowl selection with an AP Second-Team All-Pro nod in 2019, arrives in Chicago after spending the last 10 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2015-24). Over his decade with Atlanta, Jarrett started 137-of-152 career games played in the regular season for the Falcons, setting the franchise's all-time record for most career quarterback hits (126), amassing 496 tackles (267 solo), 36.5 sacks, 77 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

A fifth-round selection (137th overall) by the Falcons in the 2015 NFL Draft, Jarrett has started all five postseason outings of his career, including three in 2016 en route to Atlanta's NFC Championship. Jarrett, who started all 17 games for Atlanta last season, was also named the Falcons' Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee for the second time in his career (2018, '24). A native of Atlanta, Ga., Jarrett prepped collegiately at Clemson University (2011-14), totaling 48 career games played (37 starts) and earning All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors each of his final three seasons with the Tigers.

Smythe joins the Bears after spending his first seven professional seasons as a member of the Miami Dolphins (2018-24). Since being selected by the Dolphins in the fourth round (123rd overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft, Smyth has appeared in 112 career games (74 starts), totaling 132 receptions for 1,228 yards (9.3 avg.) and three receiving scores for Miami, adding one rushing touchdown. Smythe's 112 games played since the start of the 2018 season are the fifth-most regular-season appearances by any tight end in the NFL over the last seven years. A native of Belton, Texas, Smythe prepped collegiately at the University of Notre Dame (2014-17), where he totaled 28 receptions for 381 yards (13.6 avg.) and six receiving touchdowns in 41 career games played (28 starts).
