13 Chicago Cubs minor league players are now free agents |
The 2020 season is officially over, with the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the crown recently.
13 Chicago Cubs minor league players are now free agents with the start of the offseason with Corey Black, Erick Castillo, Eric Gonzalez, Luke Hagerty, Danny Hultzen, Ivan Medina, Jordan Minch, Erling Moreno, Tyler Olson, Eugenio Palma, Pedro Strop, Jerry Vasto, and Mark Zaguis. Obviously, the headliners of the group are probably veteran reliever Pedro Strop and outfielder Mark Zagunis which are two players that probably would be worth a look at another minor league contract with the ballclub in 2021. In case you missed it, 8 Cubs players from the big-league team are now free agents with reliever Andrew Chafin, starting pitcher Tyler Chatwood, outfielder Billy Hamilton, reliever Jeremy Jeffress, second baseman Jason Kipnis, outfielder Cameron Maybin, catcher Josh Phegley and left-hander José Quintana. This is set up to be a very important and interesting offseason for the Cubs so stay tuned to CubsHQ for all the latest news.
