Bears News: Matt Nagy not ready to announce starting QB against Lions, talks injuries |
The Chicago Bears have had a rough start to begin the 2021 season with a 1-2 start.
There are major issues on the offensive side of the ball, as the offensive line gave up nine sacks in the embarrassing loss to the Cleveland Browns last weekend. Also, there is the issue of the uncertainly at quarterback as they will have to see how Andy Dalton's bone bruise heals up before Sunday's game against the Lions. "As far as the depth chart, that has not changed," Bears head coach Matt Nagy said on Wednesday. "As far as injuries, we're still working through that. You get to a point, too, for us where we've got to know exactly where they're at, and that's the whole timing element of these next couple of days. We've just got to make sure that wherever that goes, it's the best thing for the Bears. And when you start getting injuries into it, it makes it more difficult. "The starter will be sorted out once we have a clearer picture moving forward here. We'll know more, and we'll clear that up." During Wednesday's injury report, Dalton was designated 'limited' at practice with his knee injury while Fields was a full-go with his right thumb issue. Andy Dalton looks very much like his injury designation: limited. I’d expect Justin Fields in the lineup against the Lions. #Bears pic.twitter.com/2BTK2SQUYm
