Bears News: Roster Moves: Kiran Amegadjie placed on non-football injury list, Jamree Kromah placed on PUP list |
The Chicago Bears have made a few roster adjustments as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Rookie tackle Kiran Amegadjie, who is dealing with a quad injury, has been placed on the non-football injury list. Amegadjie has been rehabbing after his surgery last October to fix his partially torn left quad. He was a third-round selection this season, even after missing the entire season at Yale with the injury. The Bears won't rush him back from the severe injury as they had hoped to get him back at some point in training camp. "Kiran is going to start on NFI," Poles said recently. "He has done an outstanding job this offseason working and rehabbing. We love his work ethic. That's one of the reasons why he's here. He's progressing. Everything is positive, but I don't have a specific timetable now." Meanwhile, Jamree Kromah, an undrafted free-agent defensive end, has been added to the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. No details of the injury have been disclosed. Both players are still on the 90-man roster as they try to get fully healthy. As part of their preseason protocol, the team’s veterans are set to report to training camp on Friday, where they will undergo thorough medical evaluations. The team's first workout is set for Saturday.
