Bears News: Matt Eberflus was asked if he would change offensive play callers

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears were embarrassed in front of their home fans at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon when they lost 19-3 to the New England Patriots.

After the game, a reporter asked Bears head coach Matt Eberflus if he was willing to be fired without changing the play-calling at least.

“Yeah, like I said, we’ll look at everything," Eberflus said. "I think we’ll look at everything from the top to the bottom. And making sure that we’re finding the answers to move the ball on the field, play better as a football team on offense, defense, and special teams."

The reporter asked again if he was considering possibly changing the play-caller for the Bears.

“I just said we’re looking at everything. Everything is going to be looked at.”

Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron was hired in January after he replaced former offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

One option for the Bears if they decide to change playcallers would be passing game coordinator Thomas Brown.
