Bears invite All-Conference OL Callahan O'Reilly to rookie minicamp |
Montana State Callahan O'Reilly has been invited to attend the Chicago Bears' rookie mini-camp.
O'Reilly, who stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 230 pounds, had an impressive career at Montana State, accumulating 284 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles in four seasons of action. He was named first-team All-Big Sky Conference in 2022 and second-team in 2021. His performances helped MSU reach the FCS title game in 2021, where they were runners-up, and the FCS semifinals in 2022. At MSU's Pro Day earlier this year, O'Reilly showcased his impressive physical abilities, posting a 4.7-second 40-yard dash, a 37.5-inch vertical leap, a 10-foot, 3-inch broad jump, a 4.41-second shuttle, a 7.08 three-cone, and 24 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. O'Reilly is the third player from Montana State to get an NFL chance joining safety Jahque Alleyne and offensive lineman Lewis Kidd. With rookie training camp just around the corner, O'Reilly and the other new signings will be looking to impress coaches and earn a spot on the team ahead of the new season.
