CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today recalled LHP Luke Little from Triple-A Iowa and placed RHP Mark Leiter, Jr. on the 15-day injured list (right forearm strain).
Little, 23, is 2-1 with a 4.35 ERA (10 ER/20.2 IP) in 23 games—one start—for the Cubs this season. He was previously optioned yesterday to Iowa. Leiter, Jr., 33, is 2-4 with a 5.34 ERA in 32 relief appearances this season for the Cubs. The Cubs host the New York Mets tonight at 6:10 p.m. CT in a game that can be seen on ESPN and heard on 670 the Score.
