WATCH: Frank Schwindel skies game-tying 422-foot jack |
MIAMI — Not long after the Miami Marlins took a 1-0 lead over the Chicago Cubs in the bottom of the fifth on Sunday, Frank Schwindel evened the score at 1-1 with a leadoff home run in the top of the sixth. The 422-footer sailed out to center field, giving the first baseman his fifth dinger of the season.
Schwindel took starter Eileser Hernandez deep on a 90.5-mph four-seamer. The no-doubter at LoanDepot Park left the Cubs slugger's bat at 107.5 mph and 26 degrees. Making his presence felt at the plate as of late, Schwindel has now tallied an RBI in four straight games and has 16 RBIs on the year.
