by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — The Chicago Cubs are unveiling a team Hall of Fame at Wrigley Field on Thursday as part of a Wrigley Field rededication event. Also set to be revealed at the stadium are two new plaques, one in honor of the Friendly Confines being designated as a National Historic Landmark and the other in commemoration of the Ricketts family's commitment to the preservation of the iconic ballpark.

The inaugural Cubs Hall of Fame class will be announced at Thursday's event, which will feature the premiere of the Cubs-produced documentary "Saving Wrigley Field," which is about the Wrigley Field 1060 Project renovations. Attendees will be able to watch the documentary on the Wrigley Field videoboard and tour the new Hall of Fame. Those in attendance will be Cubs season ticket holders, and the airing of the documentary is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. local time.
