Cubs first baseman Frank Schwindel smacked a go-ahead RBI single to right field (0-2 pitch) in the 8th inning to put the Cubs up 4-3 against the Reds on Monday afternoon. Alfonso Rivas scored on the play. Schwindel had the winning hit in the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning in the last three games. According to ESPN Stats and Info, Schwindel is the first MLB player with a go-ahead RBI in the 6th inning or later of four straight games over the last 40 years.
