Claimed off waivers from Oakland on July 18 of last season, and was promoted to Chicago on July 30 ... went on to win N.L. Rookie of the Month honors for both August and September... Hit .342 (76-for-222) in 56 games for the Cubs in 2021 ... had 19 doubles, one triple, 13 home runs and 40 RBI... In 70 career major league games between the Royals (2019), Athletics (2021) and Cubs, owns a .311 average (80-for-257) with 20 doubles, one triple, 14 home runs and 43 RBI ... owns a .914 career OPS... Led Royals' minor league players in doubles and RBI, while his 23 homers ranked second... From the time of his Triple-A debut (May 18) to the end of the year, led the Pacific Coast League in doubles (30), tied for first in hits (126), ranked second in total bases (207), tied for fifth in extra-base hits (47) and tied for seventh in RBI (72)... Hit safely in 47 of his final 50 games, batting .396 (82- for-207) with 17 doubles, 14 homers and 53 RBI in that stretch…enjoyed an 18-game hitting streak from July 15- Aug. 1, which matched the longest of the season by a Storm Chaser...
