WATCH: Javier Baez hustles around bases for leadoff triple

by - Senior Writer -

MILWAUKEE — With the Chicago Cubs trailing the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 through three innings on Tuesday, shortstop Javier Baez gave the North Siders life at American Family Field with a leadoff triple in the top of the fourth. "El Mago" smacked a line drive into the right field corner and hustled around the bases en route to tallying his second three-bagger of the season.

Baez's triple marked just the second hit allowed by starter Brandon Woodruff on the night, and the third hit off Woodruff, an RBI double by first baseman Patrick Wisdom, brought Baez home. Wisdom evened the score at 1-1 via his third double of the year, a one-out two-bagger hit to center field. Wisdom now has 17 RBIs to his name.
