Game Preview, Betting odds: Chicago Bulls vs. Washington Wizards

by - Correspondent -

The Chicago Bulls will be on the road Tuesday night tipping off against the Wizards at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. The Bulls will be looking to snap a nasty losing streak after losing 118 -111 to the 76ers in Philadelphia on Sunday. The Wizards will be looking for their second win in three games after being beat 106-99 at home against the Memphis Grizzlies their last time on the court.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago comes into this one sitting at 19-35 on the season following Sunday’s loss against the Sixers. Zach LaVine currently leads the Bulls with an average of 25 points per game while Tomas Satoransky has been passing the ball for an average of 5.3 assists per night. Lauri Markkanen leads the team with six and a half rebounds per game. As of Monday evening, Denzel Valentine, Zach LaVine, and Tomas Satoransky were each listed as day-to-day due to injuries.

The Bulls have been good for an average of 106.2 points per game. They have been shooting 44.2 percent from the field while passing for an average of 23.1 assists a night as a team. Chicago is giving up an average of 109.2 points a night to their opponents. They average four blocks and 9.9 steals per game to go along with 42.4 rebounds.

Washington Wizards

Following their loss against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Wizards are now 18-33 on the season. Bradley Beal leads the team in both points and assists with averages of 29.1 and 6.3. Troy Brown Jr. leads the way for Washington in rebounds with an average of 5.7 per game. Center Thomas Bryant is listed as out for Tuesday’s game.

The Wizards have been able to put the ball in the basket for an average of 115.5 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the field. As a team, Washington has been passing the ball for an average of 25.5 assists per game. On the defensive side of the court, they give an average of 120.4 points a night to the opposition. The Wizards are taking the ball away for an average of seven and a half steals a game while blocking 4.4 shots and pulling down 42.5 rebounds.

Betting numbers

As of Monday night, the Chicago Bulls are two and a half point underdogs. The total is sitting at 230 on the game. Until more is known about the status of a few Bulls players, I simply don’t feel comfortable betting on the point spread. Everyone knows Washington gives up a ton of points, but that doesn’t matter when your leading scorer isn’t on the court. My money is on the total staying under 230 in this one.
