RIP Larry Biittner. Solid pinch hitter and played some OF/1B too. Was on those Senators/Rangers teams managed by Ted Williams. Here he is hitting a walkoff HR for the #Cubs off Jim Bibby in 1978. Of his 29 career HR over 14 seasons, this was his only walkoff. #MLB pic.twitter.com/PHvx0sirUa We remember Larry Biittner - Washington Senators / @Rangers 1970-73, 1983; Montreal Expos 1974-76; @Cubs 1976-80; @Reds 1981-82. Batted .273 in 1,217 games over 14 seasons. Won #Cubs' 1978 home opener with ninth-inning walk-off homer. #RestInPeace pic.twitter.com/fOO7dh40IM
