Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the 30 Clubs, announced today the pitching matchups for all 16 Opening Day contests scheduled to be played, including tomorrow’s Seoul Series opener and the 15 Opening Day matchups on Thursday, March 28th.

Opening Day will feature 20 All-Star pitchers and four starting pitchers – Corbin Burnes, Tyler Glasnow, Frankie Montas and Alex Wood – who will take the mound on Opening Day in debut performances with their new clubs.

The 15 games on Thursday, March 28th will feature six divisional contests and one Interleague game as the World Champion Texas Rangers open their campaign against the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field at 7:35 p.m. (ET)/6:35 p.m. (CT) on ESPN’s national broadcast.

Under the new theme “Baseball Eve,” MLB Network will air nine different studio shows on Wednesday, March 27th, marking the most-ever new studio content MLB Network has produced the day before Opening Day. MLB Central with Mark DeRosa, Robert Flores and Lauren Shehadi will begin the day at 9:00 a.m. (ET), followed by High Heat with Alanna Rizzo at 11:00 a.m. (ET) and MLB Now hosted by Brian Kenny at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Later in the day, the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight will air at 6:00 p.m. (ET), followed by a National League Preview at 7:00 p.m. (ET), an American League Preview at 8:00 p.m. (ET), and a Predictions Special at 9:00 p.m. (ET). Commentary throughout the evening will be provided by hosts Greg Amsinger, Lauren Gardner, Matt Vasgersian and Adnan Virk alongside analysts Mike Lowell, Dan O’Dowd, Jake Peavy, Carlos Peña and Harold Reynolds. MLB Tonight: Women at Bat – Breaking Barriers In Baseball will debut at 5:00 p.m. (ET), plus MLB Tonight Exclusive: LA’s Big Three will air at 10:00 p.m. (ET), featuring the first-ever sit-down interview with Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.

Opening Day will also feature the first MLB Network Showcase game of 2024 with the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at 4:10 p.m. (ET)/1:10 p.m. (PT), marking Shohei Ohtani’s first game at Dodger Stadium as a Dodger. MLB Central (9:00 a.m. ET), High Heat (11:00 a.m. ET), MLB Now (12:00 p.m. ET) start MLB Network’s live content, plus MLB Tonight (1:00 p.m. ET) will lead up to and follow the game.
