Cubs make several roster moves

The Chicago Cubs made a few moves today as they try to assess their needs this important offseason.

A trio of relievers with James Norwood, Manuel Rodriguez, and Brad Wieck were activated from the 60-day injured list and added to the 40-man roster.

All three relievers could be solid contributors in 2021 as they all have arm talent to be successful.

In other roster moves, veteran reliever Rex Brothers has elected for free agency, as he was already going to be non-tendered by the Cubs sometime on or before Dec. 2.

The Cubs' 40-man roster is now at 34 players.
