The moves are coming fast and furious.

The Chicago Bears are releasing standout defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, according to multiple reports.

The Bears have tried to trade him this offseason but have not found any buyers since his contract is $8.5 million for the 2022 season.

After opting out of the 2020 season for COVID-19 concerns, Goldman was never the same player in 2021 that he showed previously. He was drafted out of Florida State by the Bears in the second round of the 2015 draft.

Goldman was the fourth-largest cap hit on the team at $11.8 million, which will free up $6.66 million in cap space. In 2023, they will have $11.3 million extra.

Bears general manager has been busy in the last few days.

He has reportedly traded away linebacker Khalil Mack to the Chargers and released oft-injured running back Tarik Cohen.
