Bears News: Tevin Jenkins injury update

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

Sunday was a scary scene against the Philadelphia Eagles when offensive lineman Teven Jenkins was taken off the field on a stretcher with a neck injury.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters on Monday that all signs point optimistically.

"It's encouraging with him," Eberflus said. "I don't really have much of an update from there, but it is encouraging for him. We'll see where he is later today. He is seeing a couple of specialists just to double-check and cross-check everything."

Jenkins is a big part of the Bears' future on the offensive line, and hopefully, all things will be OK with the youngster.

BearsHQ would like to give our prayers for him on a full recovery.
