Bears News: Eddie Goldman sidelined with leg injury before season opener |
This is not great news to report.
Chicago Bears defensive tackle Eddie Goldman had landed on the first injury report of 2021 on Wednesday evening. The team labeled it a "knee/ankle" injury as he was held out of Wednesday's practice. His status for Sunday's game against the Rams is seriously in doubt at the moment. To address their defensive tackle depth if Goldman has to miss any time, the Bears signed DT Margus Hunt and NT Damion Square and placed them on the practice squad this morning. Tight end Jimmy Graham was held out as the other DNP as a veteran day for him. Four players were in the limited designations today with the injury report with linebacker Khalil Mack (groin), linebacker Robert Quinn (back), linebacker Joel Lyiegbuniwe (shoulder), and receiver Darnell Mooney (back). No word yet on these injury statuses because Matt Nagy was not available today to address this. He will be available for media access on Thursday morning. #Bears Wednesday Injury Report: pic.twitter.com/ElzSj50cuk
