Bears News: Rizzo's laugh-off for Cancer raises 500K |
Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo keeps helping families dealing with Cancer.
Rizzo's fourth annual laugh-off for Cancer raised over $500,000 for children and families battling the disease. Some of the players that were involved in the event included Kyle Schwarber, Albert Almora Jr., Justin Grimm, Kris Bryant, and others. Former Cubs players David "Grandpa" Ross and Ryan Dempster were also in attendance at the event. In 2017, Rizzo was named the Major League Baseball Players Association's Marvin Miller Man of the Year and the 2017 Roberto Clemente Award as the top humanitarian in baseball. Rizzo hit .273 with 32 homers and 109 RBI this past season. For his career, he is hitting .268 with 166 homers and 534 RBI. No joke, @ARizzo44’s Fourth Annual Laugh-Off for Cancer was a big hit.
