The Chicago Cubs will send two players to the 2021 MLB All-Star Game. The All-Star pitchers and reserves were announced on Sunday, and third baseman Kris Bryant and closer Craig Kimbrel were selected to play for the National League team.
Bryant's fourth All-Star nod comes in the midst of a resurgent season for the 29-year-old, who has played a variety of positions in the field this year and is currently hitting .272 with 16 home runs and 42 RBIs. Kimbrel, 33, has also rejuvenated his career this season. Sporting a 0.59 ERA with 20 saves and 53 strikeouts, Kimbrel is on an All-Star roster for the eighth time.
